CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Senior John White (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) is currently the No. 11 ranked player in NCAA Division II for his 10.6 rebound per game average.
White is the only player in the West Virginia Conference averaging a double-double as he currently is averaging 12.9 points per game to go along with his 10.6 rebounds.
The NCAA Division II leader in rebounding is currently Christian Brothers University's 6-5, center Scott Dennis who holds a 12.3 rebound per game average through 11 games this season.
The Golden Eagles are currently 3-6 under new head coach Mark Downey, but have made great strides under Downey's new system and are now busy preparing for the heavy conference slate upcoming after the holiday break. Charleston returns to the court on Wednesday, January 5 as the team travels to WVIAC contender WV Wesleyan for a 7:30pm tipoff.
