CoSIDA Academic All-America® Men's Soccer Division II Team
 
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – University of Charleston men's soccer's Conor Branson repeats as CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team announced byCoSIDA Monday afternoon.
 
Conor Branson is one of the three repeat performers from last year's CoSIDA Academic All-America® team. A graduate student from Pontefract, England, Branson is an MBA major with a 3.98 G.P.A. He has helped the Golden Eagles advance to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Semifinals for the second straight year thanks to a 2-1 win over LIU Post in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday evening in Charleston, W.Va.
 
The defender was recently named the 2015 Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season while leading Charleston to a second consecutive league and tournament title. He has contributed four goals and four assists on offense while helping the Golden Eagles post a league-best 11 shutouts while holding opponents to 11 goals. He was 2014 first team All-American and was the NCAA's "Elite 89" recipient a year ago.
 
Fourteen of the 33 members of the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II men's soccer teams have at least a 3.90 G.P.A., with four student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 G.P.A. The 11 members of the first team have an average G.P.A. of 3.90.
