Carte, a 1977 graduate of Morris Harvey College, was inducted into the Golden Eagles Sports Hall of Fame in 1993. She lettered in five sports while a Golden Eagle and won the President’s Award.

Specifically, in basketball she was named All-WVIAC Tournament, All-WVIAC Conference and led the basketball team as captain.

She also was #3 Singles Champ, Doubles Champ, #2 Singles Champ, #1 Doubles Champ, #1 Singles Champ and #1 Doubles Champ in tennis.
