University of Charleston Athletics

Candace Swann, a 2006 graduate of University of Charleston, finished her career as one of the most decorated athletes in Golden Eagle history excelling as a field athlete for UC Women's Track & Field.  She became Charleston's first Track & Field All-American, being named twice to the NCAA All-American team in her 4-year career.  She captured multiple WVIAC titles while representing UC, winning in the discus and hammer throws and was named the East Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year as a senior.
