University of Charleston Athletics

Jayson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. During his time at the University of Charleston he was a member of the basketball team as a 4 year letter winner and awarded the WVIAC Heart and Hustle Award. While he was on the team they held a 30-5 team record, won the WVIAC Conference Title and he participated in the NAIA National Tournament.

After he graduated in 1988, Jason got into coaching and his team went to the Disney Invitational Championship, held a #2 National Team Ranking, won the WVIAC Conference Title, the WVIAC Tournament Title twice and the NCAA II Tournament Berth 4 times. He coached players who won WVIAC Player of the Year twice and one who was the NCAA II National Player of the Year. He personally was named WVIAC Coach of the Year and NCAA II East Region Coach of the Year.
