Sciara, a 1978 graduate of Morris Harvey, left Charleston as one of the top players in Golden Eagle history.  He completed his four seasons undefeated in WVIAC regular season singles matches and was named WVIAC Player of the Year in 1977.  Three times Sciara advanced to the NAIA National Tournament while also guiding his team to the WVIAC Tournament Championship.
