Moynahan is a 1974 graduate of Morris Harvey College and a four-year letter winner for the Golden Eagle men's swimming program from 1971-74.  He was a superb swimmer for the Maroon & Gold, finishing his career with multiple UC/Morris Harvey swim records.  He participated at the NAIA Nationals as a Golden Eagle in the 1971, '73, and '74 seasons.  For his accomplishments in the water, Moynahan earned All-American Honorable Mention honors during the 1974 season, competing in the 100 & 200 breaststroke.
