Ciccone, a 1971 graduate of Morris Harvey College, was inducted into the Golden Eagle Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. 

Ciccone was a 4-year letter winner for the baseball team which he also led as captain. He was named WVIAC All-Conference twice (1969 & '70) and Outstanding College Athlete of America following the 1970 season. 

Ciccone also played in every inning of his first 77 games of his career.
