Ted was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999. Ted was a duel athlete in both baseball and basketball.

In baseball, he was a 4 year letter winner, a WVIAC All Conference Athlete twice and an All Conference Pitcher twice.

In basketball, he was a 3 year letter winner, played in the WVIAC Conference Championships, the WVIAC Tournament Championship and made a NAIA National Tournament Appearance twice. 

After graduating in 1964 Ted worked as a coach. He had 28 Consecutive Winning Seasons, 21 Sectional Championships, 2 State Championships, won WV Baseball Coach of the Year and won Region IV Coach of the Year twice. Ted was also the Head Coach at the North-South All Star Game and Director of Athletics at Chapman High School for 22 years.
