The University of Charleston's Kristine Gegeshidze has been named Mountain East Conference Player of the Week. 

Gegeshidze, a sophomore from Tbilisi, Georgia, turned in impressive performances last week at the ITA Regional Championship in Erie, Pa. She advanced to the semifinals of the "A" Singles Draw before falling in a super tiebreaker. Then, she teamed with Katie Swann to win the "A" Doubles Draw and advance to the ITA National Championships in October.
