University of Charleston Athletics

The junior left fielder was a key component in Charleston's three wins over the weekend over University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.  Hathaway was 6-for-13 from the plate with two doubles in the four-game series against the Mountain Cats.  The lefty drove in six runs, including a four-RBI performance in UC's 10-4 win in game two.  In addition to driving in six, he crossed the plate six times for the Golden Eagles. He either scored or drove in the the game winning in each of UC's three victories this season.  His weekend performance took his average from .188 to .310 over the four-game span. Hathaway was also a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases.  For his efforts, Hathaway was named the MEC Player of the Week.
