Mastandrea ran to a UC indoor track & field record in the 5k with a time of 14:17.20, :17 better than his previous mark, at the GVSU Big Meet this past Friday. His effort was fourth best among 209 competitors at the event hosted by Grand Valley State University. His time is 18th best among all of NCAA Div. II and is currently a NCAA DII Championship provisional qualifier.
