Lily Dowdell earns University of Charleston Athlete of the Week after the junior after an outstanding performance in Youngstown, Ohio this past weekend. The junior set the new school record for the mile by running an impressive time of 5.01.02. Her time placed her in the top five on the weekend, placing fifth for her team. However Dowdell wasn't finished. The junior would set the top MEC time in the 800m race with a time of 2:29.37, and earn her an 8th place overall finish. She continues to be a pushing force in the women's track and field success.
