Coach Clickett is entering his sixth season as UC's throwing coach.  The 2023 season was one of the most successful to date. Kellen Tropeck led the throws group by earning indoor and outdoor Field Event MVP honors.  Tropeck won MEC titles is the shot put, weight throw and discus.  Newcomers Abby Mckinney(2nd place indoor shot/outdoor shot, 3rd place weight throw, 5th place women’s hammer), Kalista Milne(3rd place women’s javelin), Manuel Campana(2nd place men’s javelin) also made significant impact.  Zowie Manuma was an integral part of the 2023 by scoring in the indoor shot(6th place), weight throw(7th place), outdoor shot(5th place), and discus(5th place).

New school records in the men's shot put, women's shot put, men’s hammer, men’s weight, and men's javelin. 
Justin Clickett is 2008 graduate of a Virginia Tech with a B.S. is business management. As a thrower for the Hokies he's gained four all-American honors and an ACC title in the shot put. He was also accomplished in the discus and weight throw with multiple ACC top three finishes.  Justin currently holds Virginia Tech and University of Pittsburgh records in the shot put. He trained several years post collegiately and achieved a ninth place finish at the 2010 USATF outdoor nationals. He is also a USATF level 2 Throws Coach.

 Justin's hopes for the Golden Eagles's 2024 season include making an impact on the national stage.
