CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston women's basketball team shot 55 percent as 12 players scored for the Golden Eagles in an 88-41 conference win, Saturday night in Eddie King Gym.
Seniors Lindsey Kentner and Tarena Dixon paved the way for Charleston with 18 and 16 points, respectively. The 16 points was a season-high total for Dixon.
Freshman Erike Rousculp saw just her second action of the season and took advantage of a smaller Alderson-Broaddus lineup as she was sent to the foul line to make 5-of-6 attempts, which was a team high in makes and attempts for the contest. Rousculp set a career-high mark in her young career with seven points.
The pressure from Charleston's defense forced the Battlers into 31 turnovers, while the Golden Eagles only handed the ball over 10 times in the game.
The University of Charleston returns to action on the road at conference opponent Concord on Thursday, December 9 at 5:30pm.
