SALISBURY, NC – The University of Charleston won two late three-set singles matches to snatch a 5-4 win over host Catawba in women’s tennis action on Sunday afternoon. Charleston entered ranked #49 in NCAA II and improved to 7-0.
Catawba led 2-1 after doubles, Charleston rallied in the last two singles to snatch the win. Marcela Torres outlasted Kasia Zielinski in a 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 win at the #1 flight and Llaisanna Carter picked up a 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 win over freshman Ally Prior at #6 singles.
