PHILIPPI, W.Va. - The championship run for the University of Charleston women's soccer team fell one game short as they dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 2 seed Alderson-Broaddus, Friday afternoon.

The Battlers outshot Charleston just 11 shots to nine, but were unable to find the net on the afternoon.

AB benefitted from two goals off the foot of Taylor Bryant and one by Nicole Lehman, while Kim D'Angelo paced the Golden Eagles with four shots including one textbook free kick that clanked off the right post.

The loss ends the season for the University of Charleston with a 6-10-2 record, but the Golden Eagles were a WVIAC threat down the wire as they battled through a number of injuries.
