CHARLESTON, W.Va. - University of Charleston goalkeeper Catherine Perry made seven saves, yet Seton Hill managed to slip out of Charleston with a 1-0 victory, Saturday night in WVIAC women's soccer action.

The teams battled evenly throughout the first half, but the visiting Griffins put the only mark on the scoreboard just six minutes into the second half. Mackiesh Taylor was credited with the goal after a turnover at midfield by the UC defense allowed her to take a breakaway down the middle of the field and place the ball just over the reach of Perry.

The stat lines for both teams were even as Charleston fired seven shots, while the visitors had the edge at eight total shots yet all their shots were on goal.

Charleston looks to rebound as they step out of conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 27 with a home contest against regional opponent Slippery Rock.
