GREENSBURG, Pa. - Three-time All-American Rob Vincent found the net on two occasions to lead the No. 16 ranked University of Charleston men's soccer team to a 3-0 WVIAC win over Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon.
It didn't take long for the UC (3-0-2) offense to start clicking on all cylinders with Vincent finding the back of the net in the 19th minute to put all the pressure on the homestanding Griffins (1-5). Charleston held possession for much of the opening half, yet managed just two other shots on goal that were unsuccessful to take a 1-0 advantage into the break.
After halftime the University of Charleston offered much of the same attack Seton Hill saw in the first half. The home team had no answer for the speed and precision of the Golden Eagles with Garrett Listo becoming the second beneficiary to find the net. Listo took a Michael Hagarty passed and buried it in the back of the goal for the 2-0 lead.
Vincent topped off the dominant performance with a well placed shot in the 74th minutes off a perfect feed from Listo to lock in the 3-0 victory.
For the afternoon UC outshot SHU 16-7 with goalkeeper Sean Teepen getting his mitts on all four Griffin shots on goal.
Charleston gets 10 days of rest before finishing off their current road swing with a juant down the WV Turnpike for a WVIAC matchup against Concord on Sept. 25 at 4:00 pm.
