Women's Soccer Handles Rams

On a rainy Saturday afternoon in Shepherdstown, WV the Golden Eagles played the Rams of Shepherd University. Shepherd began the high scoring affair in the 3rd minute as Kasey Canterbury would kind Taylor Amsley for the first goal of the match. UC would score the next three goals in the 10th, 25th and 38th minutes. Brittany Loveland would account for two of the goals and Lauren Haven contributed the third.
The second half scoring opened with Isabella Jaffin converting a pass from Brittany Loveland to give the Golden Eagles a 4-1 lead after 55 minutes of play. The Rams would not be denied and continued to work hard. As a result, their efforts were rewarded with the next two goals by Annie Orr and Angela Labella. The score was 4-3 in UC's favor until Rachel McCormick buried a shot from 3o yards out for the final goal of the match. UC would go on to win the high scoring game by a score of 5-3.
UC will face Urbana at Trace Fork Field on Wednesday at 3pm. The game will be a live video feed with commentary by UC's basketball play-by-play commentator, Pat Hyman. Pat's guest for the game will be UC's Compliance Coordinator and former DII Men's Soccer player, Travis Chandler.
