Charleston, WV - The University of Charleston Women's Basketball team march into the WVIAC Semifinals today fresh off an upset of top-seeded Glenville State.
No. 5 Seton Hill vs. No. 9 Charleston – 3 p.m.
Charleston garnered an 83-67 win over Seton Hill in Charleston on Jan. 21 in the lone meeting between the two programs. UC led wire-to-wire against the Griffins, holding a 23-point edge at one point in the second half.
In the win, Jessi Cowden paced the victors with a game-high 24 points. Chelsea Brumby added 14 markers while Nichole Perry and Chrissy Keir added 11 and 10, respectively. Keir also dished out five assists while Cowden totaled four steals. Paige Alviani led the Griffins with 18 points and nine rebounds.
