UC fell to Shaw 5-3. The Golden Eagles had success at the lower seeds in doubles and singles but were out matched at the higher seeds. Maddie Caropino and Marieve Edwards dropped their opponents 8-0 for UC only doubles victory. In singles Maddie Caropino again blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Courtney Pierron also took her match 6-0, 6-0.
Woman of the Match: Maddie Caropino went 2-0 winning in doubles 8-0 and singles 6-0, 6-0.

Much of the same occurred against Winston Salem State University. In doubles, UC again took the third seed doubles 8-1 with Mali and Pena. Hensley and Todd played better but fell 8-6. In singles, Ana Maria Pena took her match 6-3, 6-2 while Courtney Pierron finished off her opponent 6-4, 6-4. UC’s season record falls to 14-9.
Women of the Match: Ana Maria Pena won in doubles 8-1 and singles 6-3, 6-2.
