CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston Women's Soccer team was unable to match up to the Notre Dame Falcons falling 2-1 in an important early MEC contest

The Golden Eagles held an 18-16 shot advantage but could only convert on one of those attempts. Lydia Murray (Elkview, WV) came through again with a scorcher to beat the goal keeper in the 72 minute. It is her fourth goal of the young season. She was assisted on the score by Lauren Haven (Nassau, Bahamas).

University of Charleston sophomore keeper Jennifer Poppe (Barrie, Canada) came away with five saves in defeat.

The Golden Eagles will get back in action Saturday as they head to Urbana University for a noon contest.
