Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston women got their eight straight home win Wednesday evening easily dismantling Concord University 66-48 at the Eddie King Gymnasium.

Sophomore guard LeAnne Ross led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 15 points, all of her points came from behind the three-point line going 5-for-7 on the evening. Kiara Johnson put together a strong game from the bench scoring eight points and pulling down 11 rebounds.

The Charleston defense was the key to the one-sided game as UC held the Mountain Lions to just 29% shooting from the field and 18% from deep.  Concord was led by Rachel Artrip's 12 points and six rebounds.

UC found themselves trailing by three, 16-19, midway through the first half but closed out the half on a 16-5 run to take a 32-24 lead into the break. Charleston never trailed again as they built a big 23 point lead late in the game before securing the 18 point win.

The Golden Eagles conclude the regular season this Saturday at WV State with tipoff set for 2 p.m.
