Box Score Tiffin, Ohio - After acquiring a 0-1-1 record this past weekend in Chicago competing against Lewis university and Wisconsin park side, UC came up big with a 3-1 victory over Tiffin University this afternoon.

Although the game was pushed up an hour due to an incoming storm, UC dealt with adversity and held their own with senior Holly Bigg scoring in the 30th minute of the first half assisted by Lauren Haven to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead. The Dragons responded with a goal by Svetlana Gudenkova in the 19th minute of 2nd half to even the score at 1-1.

With the ball out on the wing, Lauren Haven would up the Golden Eagles with a right footed shot outside of the 18-yard box by the sidelines to the upper left of the net with under 17 minutes left to play in the game. The Golden Eagles outshot the Dragons on the day 27-12, with freshman keeper Zoe Zyta coming up with five saves. The Eagles weren't done fighting though, at the 86th minute, freshman Ivey Nucilli headed out on a breakaway and put the Golden Eagles at a 3-1 result .

The Golden Eagles look to take on Shepherd for their first Mointain East Conference game of the season this Saturday
