Box Score Shepherdstown, W.Va. - The Golden Eagles women's soccer team started their MEC schedule Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Shepherd University.

Holly Bigg (Limehouse, Ontario). The goal was Thompson's first as a Golden Eagle. The score remained 1-0 after the first 45 minutes with Charleston on top of the Rams.Â
UC continued to high press Shepherd (2-2-1, 0-1 MEC) creating multiple chances on the offensive attack in the second half. Bigg eventually broke through for the second goal of the game for the Golden Eagles in the 58th minute on a feed from junior defender

Zoe Zyta (Listowel, Ontario) posted four saves in net for the Golden Eagles.
