ERIE, Pa. -Â The 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Regional Women's Tennis Championship is in the books and the University of Charleston women's tennis team had a strong showing in the two-day tournament. The event was held at the Pennbriar Athletic Club.
The first day of the ITA was a success as all three doubles won their first round of doubles.

Freshman Toni Katipa lost in the quarters to Adrianna Jeffress (MER) with the score of 7-6 (10-8), 6-1.
Junior Taylor Todd also had a good tournament advancing to the quarterfinals of the consolation round.
Freshman Alize Uttyenhove reached the semis of the consolation round losing to Raquel Cabero with the score of 8-3.
The Golden Eagles get back to MEC play Tuesday as they host Concord University at Schoenbaum Courts then follow up with another home match on Wednesday versus West Virginia Wesleyan.
