CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston women's tennis continued its early season MEC dominance with another shutout victory, this time defeating West Virginia Wesleyan 9-0 Wednesday afternoon at Schoenbaum Courts.
The Golden Eagles captured an early 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles courts by an 8-1 score. The winning trend continued onto the singles courts with all six Charleston players pulling off straight set victories. UC has yet to drop a set in any of their MEC matches this fall.
The win improves the Golden Eagle record to a perfect 4-0 on the season with all four wins coming in MEC play.
UC travels to Southern Indiana University this weekend to play in a tournament hosted by the Screaming Eagles.
