Wisconsin-Parkside Defeats UC Women 4-0

Box Score Kenosha, Wis. - The Golden Eagles wrapped up their opening weekend with a trip to Kenosha, Wisconsin for a match against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and took a hard fought 4-0 loss to the Rangers.

Parkside controlled a majority of play and held a 36-3 advantage in shots.  The Rangers' Karley Mecko scored their first goal of the match in the 38th minute with a textbook header on the far post off a Parkside corner.

UC freshman keeper Zoe Zyta played well between the pipes for the Golden Eagles, recording 16 saves on the afternoon.

The Golden Eagles will travel on Tuesday for a match against Tiffin University to be played Wednesday afternoon.  This match will have UC's senior captain Holly Bigg playing against her sister Melissa Bigg, Tiffin University's head coach.
