DeJanique Reddix halfcourt 3-point attempt at the buzzer came up short as the University of Charleston women's basketball team dropped a 57-56 Mountain East Conference decision to Notre Dame College at the Murphy Gymnasium on Monday.
The Falcons (9-6, 5-4 MEC) held a six-point lead with 37 seconds left, but a pair of free throws from UC's
Nichole Perry and a
LeAnne Ross 3-pointer cut the lead to one. Ross had 13 points as the only double-figure scorer for UC (11-4, 6-3)
The loss ended a four-game winning streak for UC, which visits UVa-Wise at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
