Fairmont, W.Va. - The University of Charleston Women's Soccer Team traveled to Fairmont State University Tuesday night. This was the second contest this season between the two teams. Charleston had previously beaten Fairmont and was determined to make sure this time was no different.
Senior Courtney Underwood (Hurricane, WV) opened the scoring in the 28^th minute of the game. Alice Broadbent (Tamworth, England) drove through the center of Fairmont's defense to find a wide open Underwood on her left for a pass. Underwood tucked it away to make it 1-0. Less than one minute later, Fairmont's Erica Uselton would score the equalizer off an assist from Brittany Cameron.
The Golden Eagles were able to battle back and score the deciding goal of the game in the 42^nd minute. Broadbent would get her second assist of the night with a corner kick to Senior Isabella Jaffin (Nescopeck, PA), who found the back of the net. 
UC returns to action Sunday against rival Wesleyan. Both teams are on the hunt to finish in first place in the MEC so come out and support the Golden Eagles for a 1 pm game at Trace Fork.
