Golden Eagle Notes
  • Senior guard Chyress Lockhart returns to the Golden Eagle lineup after missing all of 2014-15 due to injury. Lockhart was an All-MEC First Team performer in 2014, leading UC to a NCAA Tournament berth.
  • Charleston returns both starting post players in Monet Saunders and Kiara Johnson who combined to average 18.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game.
  • The Golden Eagles will be without its two leading scores from last season's MEC champion squad, losing both Nichole Perry and LeAnne Ross to graduation.
Scouting Ediboro Fighting Scots
Edinboro returns a trio of starters in two-time All-PSAC West performer Aignee' Freeland, Lauren Hippo, and Nicole Johnson. However, the 2015-16 Fighting Scots are a young team that must try to replace former All-Americans Laurel Lindsay and Valerie Majewski. Head coach Stan Swank must incorporate five freshmen into the mix.

The Last Time Out
In 2013-14, the Golden Eagle season came to an end in the first round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, suffering a 64-62 loss to Edinboro.
