Box Score JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The University of Charleston women's basketball team fell on the road to Pitt Johnstown on Tuesday evening by a score of 67-50, marking their fifth consecutive loss.
UC again struggled from the field, shooting only 35% as team for the game and was worse behind the arc connecting on only four of their 17 three-point tries. Turnovers plagued the Golden Eagles for a second consecutive game as the Mountain Cats turned 17 UC miscues into 18 points.
Chyress Lockhart led Charleston with 17 points in 33 minutes and handed out five assists to go with four rebounds. Kiara Johnson had her best game of the season posting a double-double in the loss, scoring 14 and pulling down 11 boards.
The Golden Eagles (3-7, 1-3 MEC) get an extended break over the holidays and don't play until the new year, hosting Wheeling Jesuit on January 4
th at the Charleston Civic Center.
