WEST LIBERTY, W.Va.-The Golden Eagles returned to action this evening against the Hilltoppers of West Liberty. The Lady Hilltoppers managed to hit the framework three times in regulation and UC pinged one off the bar as well. West Liberty held a slight advantage in shots 13/12.

Hannah Myers received a ball down the left flank from senior,
Erica Lemmert. Myers split the Hilltoppers backs and slipped the ball past the keeper, Allie Warsaw ,for her first collegiate goal and the game winner.

UC's back four of sophomores,
Alice Broadbent,
Kelci Pettiford-Winters and
Dominique Dosky along with senior, captain
Amanda McKee preserved the victory. Sophomore,
Zoe Zyta recorded five saves and the back five picked up their second clean sheet in as many games.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday at WV Wesleyan for a 1pm kickoff. This game will cap off their difficult opening stretch, playing five games in ten days. Â UC improves their record to 3-0-1.
