BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Charleston women's tennis traveled to West Virginia Wesleyan Tuesday afternoon and handed the unbeaten Bobcats their first loss of the 2016-17 season, defeating the hosts 6-3.

UC took the lead early after claiming two of the three double courts then responded by taking four of the six singles matches. Junior Toni Katipa clinched the match at number three singles for the Golden Eagles.

Charleston stays on the road to close out the 2016 regular season in a matchup with West Liberty University. A win over the Hilltoppers would secure Charleston at least a second place finish in the MEC regular season.
