CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Golden Eagle women's tennis team made quick work of a shorthanded Concord University squad, sweeping the visiting Mountain Lions 9-0 to move Charleston's 2016 unbeaten record to 4-0.

Concord brought just four players to the match which gave the Golden Eagles a 3-0 match lead before the first serve.  The remaining Mountain Lions were no match for the Golden Eagles, as UC dropped just two games total in six matches to claim the easy win. The victory sets up a MEC battle between UC and West Virginia State University on Wednesday with the winner likely to take the Mountain East Conference regular season title.  Charleston will look to dethrone the Jackets on their home courts in Institute with the match set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
