TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Charleston women's tennis team began their spring break trip in Tampa with a huge regional win over West Chester in a convincing 8-1 victory.

UC entered the match ranked #5 in the Atlantic Region while the Golden Rams came in just one spot behind Charleston at #6 in the region. The Eagles started strong by sweeping all three double courts to take a 3-0 lead into singles.

Taylor Todd clinched win at her #5 singles spot, winning easily in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. UC dropped only one match on the afternoon, improving their 2015-16 record to 12 wins and two losses.

Charleston continues their spring break tennis trip tomorrow, facing Grand Valley State University.
