ERIE, Pa. – Charleston women's tennis returned to the courts Friday evening to take on Edinboro University in a tough regional match with the Fighting Scots. UC came out on top, defeating Edinboro 7-2 at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie.Â

The Golden Eagles hadn't played since returning from their Florida spring break trip nearly three weeks ago. Charleston swept all three doubles courts to take a commanding lead, then Elise Edwards clinched the win at no. 2 singles with a straight set victory.

UC is currently fifth in the regional rankings and carry a 15-4 overall record.
