INDIANA, Pa. – The Golden Eagles women's tennis season came to a close Sunday afternoon at the Maple Street Courts on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, falling 5-0 to Mercyhurst University in the opening round of the NCAA DII Atlantic Region Tennis Championship.  Charleston ends the season with a 16-8 overall record and runner-up in the Mountain East Conference.
 
UC played without two of its top players in today's NCAA match against the Lakers and couldn't overcome their absence in the lineup.
