CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston erupted for eight second half goals in a dominating 9-0 win over West Virginia Weslyan Sunday afternoon at Schoenbaum Stadium.
Will Roberts notched a hat trick while Williams N'Dah and Felipe Antonio each scored a pair of goals respectively. Â Lucas Santos and Freddie Tracey rounded out the scoring for the Golden Eagles. Â Charleston held just a 1-0 lead heading into the second 45 minutes despite outshooting the Bobcats 19-0 in the first half. Â UC went on to total 38 shots over 90 minutes, compared to only four for the visitors. Â
Fabian Veit picked the up the shutout win, his 34th of his career which tied him with former UC keeper Sean Teepen for most shutouts in Golden Eagle men's soccer history.
Charleston moves to 4-0 on the season after conclunding a perfect four-game homestand. Â UC goes out of conference for their next two matches and hits the road for their next four. Â The Golden Eagles head to Greensburg, Pa. to take on Seton Hill University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
