UC Handles Hilltoppers 4-0

Charleston, W.Va. - The University of Charleston Women's Soccer team earned its second consecutive Mountain East Conference victory over West Liberty 4-0 at Trace Fork field this evening. UC controlled the majority of possession and held a 21/3 advantage in shots on goal for the day.

UC freshman Rachel Neff (Commercial Point, OH) began the scoring off of an assist from sophomore Marieke Kramer (Megchelen, Netherlands). Kramer slotted a ball across the goal to incoming Neff at the 31:43 mark for the game games first goal. UC ended the half with a 1-0 lead. In the second half, the combination of junior Kelci Pettiford-Winters (New Albany, OH) to fellow junior Ivey Nucilli (Fairmont, WV) would register the games second and third goals at the 65:55 and 75:25 marks on similar finishes by Nucilli. Neff would wrap up the scoring on the day after finishing a cross by sophomore Fern Peters (Columbia, MD) in the closing seconds of the game. UC will host West Virginia Wesleyan this Sunday at Trace Fork field at 5pm. Sunday's game will be the third in a six day span for both the Golden Eagles and Bobcats.
