INDIANA, Pa. – Golden Eagle women's tennis wrapped up their regular season and weekend in Indiana, Pennsylvania with a match against the Atlantic Region's top team in Indiana University of Pennsylvania, falling to the Crimson Hawks 8-1 Sunday afternoon.
Charleston failed to win a match in doubles, falling behind to the Crimson Hawks 3-0 to begin the match. Things didn't much easier as they turned to singles play, but Kristine Gegeshidze provided the Golden Eagles the lone bright spot on the afternoon, pulling out a super tiebreak win at No. 1 singles to give Charleston their only court on the day.
UC now awaits the NCAA selection show later this month where they learn their seed heading into the NCAA DII Women's Tennis postseason.
