ERIE, Pa. – Golden Eagle women's tennis ended their season Tuesday afternoon at the Pennbriar Athletic Club, falling in the Round of 32 of the NCAA DII Women's Tennis Atlantic Region Championships, 5-0, to Mercyhurst University.
 
University of Charleston finishes the season with an overall record of 19-4 after capturing the Mountain East Conference Tournament Championship earlier in the year.  Mercyhurst, the region's No. 2 ranked team will advance to face the Atlantic Region No. 1 team in Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
 
Charleston graduates seniors Jackie Bakos and Taylor Youell from the 2016-17 roster going into the 2017 season where they will look to build on this past season's accomplishments.
