CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- UC women's tennis wrapped up their 2018 fall season with a convincing 5-2 victory over Bluefield State College on Tuesday afternoon at Schoenbaum Courts.
Charleston took a 1-0 lead over the Blues after capturing two of three doubles courts as Meggan William and Silvana Slusarciuc along with Mathilde Simon and Regina Saucedo teamed up to easily claim their courts at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Simon made quick work of her opponent at No. 6 singles by posting a 6-0, 6-0 score to put the Golden Eagles up 2-0. Charleston closed out the match by earning straight set wins from Slusarciuc with Saucedo clinching the match at No. 4 singles. Elise Edwards gave UC their final point at No. 2 singles with a 6-4, 6-2 win over her Bluefield State opponent.
