Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston women's basketball team fell 66-64 to the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets on Friday afternoon in the Wehrle Innovation Center Arena, rounding out the last game of their regular season.

How it Happened
UC was neck-and-neck with the W.Va State Yellow Jackets, but could not power past them, falling in overtime 66-64. Charleston trailed behind the Yellow Jackets heading into the second quarter by five points, but outscoring them by four in the second quarter, only put them three points behind the Yellow Jackets ending the first half. 
 
Charleston gave away eight turnovers in the first half of the game, and were 0-2 from the free throw line, causing W.Va State to lead. Marissa Koob led the Golden Eagles in the first half with nine points, while Dionna Sanders and Octavia Loll each had four rebounds to end the first 20 minutes.
 
The second half of the game was even on both sides of the court, sending the two teams to battle it out in overtime after they were even 56-56 to start the overtime. However, UC could not keep up with the pace of the Yellow Jackets as Charleston was 50% less successful from the three-point line.
