CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Charleston Women's Basketball (13-16) team fell in the Mountain East Conference Quarterfinals to Notre Dame (22-8).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Charleston jumped out in front in the first quarter holding on to the 13-8 lead to close out the period.
- Charleston fought during the early minutes of the second. Notre Dame shot 50 percent in the quarter to increase their lead to 4 points to close the half leading Charleston 28-24.
- Coming out of the break Charleston could not seem to put the ball away, shooting only 17 percent from the field. Notre Dame increased their lead to 17 with just under a minute to go. Charleston would go into the final period down 47-30.
- Charleston clawed their way back into the game, but the clock was not on their side. With less than two minutes to go in the fourth Notre Dame led the Golden Eagles by more than 10, and closed out the Mountain East Conference Quarterfinals leading Charleston 64-47.
CHARLESTON INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Octavia Loll led the Golden Eagles with 15 points and 3 rebounds.
FALCON INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Seina Adachi scored 18 to lead Notre Dame.
- Kim Cook led the Falcons with 13 rebounds.
