ORLANDO, Fla. – The Golden Eagle's women's tennis wrapped up the first game of their spring break tournament falling 7-2 Sunday afternoon to Angelo State University.
Charleston won their No. 1 doubles match 8-2, but that wasn't enough as they fell in their next two doubles matches to the Rams from Angelo State. Things didn't much easier as they turned to singles play, but Elise Edwards provided the Golden Eagles the lone bright spot on the afternoon, pulling out a 6-4, 6-1 win in the No. 2 singles spot for UC.
Charleston gears up to play Monday, March 12 at 8:00 a.m. in the second match of their five-day tournament in Orlando, Florida.
