CHARLESTON, W.Va. – University of Charleston women's tennis remains chalked up their first win of the 2018 spring season after blowing past visiting Bluefield State College, 9-0, Friday afternoon at the Charleston Tennis Cenetr.
UC rolled to a 3-0 lead following doubles, sweeping all three courts in easy fashion with the No. 3 doubles Briahn Guthrie and Alize Uyttenhove flying past BSC, winning 8-0.
The Golden Eagles kept the wins coming going into singles play, winning all six of their matches against the Big Blues. UC's Elise Edwards led the No. 1 singles spot, beating out her opponent 6-1, 6-0. The rest of Charleston followed suit as they had a clean sweep against the visiting BSC.
