Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles had yet another successful match on Saturday afternoon, defeating Slipper Rock University 8-1, adding another win to their 16-5 record.
 
The winning day for Charleston started off early, as two out of the three doubles matches resulted in wins for UC.  No. 1 spot duo Katie Swann and Elise Edwards moved past their opponents with ease, winning 8-3 on the day.  No. 2 doubles team Bri Guthrie and Silvana Slusarciuc had the next win for UC in doubles play, winning 8-2 against Slippery Rock.  The success of the Golden Eagles continued into singles play, as UC had a clean sweep, winning all six spots.  Katie Swann at No. 1 singles defeated her opposition 0-6, 6-4, 7-6, Kristine Gegeshidze at No. 2 singles moved past her opponent 6-3, 6-3, and Elise Edwards at No. 3 singles won 6-2, 6-0.  To round out the win for Charleston Silvana Slusarciuc won her No. 4 singles match 2-6, 6-3, 10-7, No. 5 spot Bri Guthrie tallied up a winning score of 6-4, 6-2, and Alize Uyttenhove won 6-7, 6-3, 20-6 at No. 6 singles.
 
Charleston will face the visting Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 14^th at home in Charleston.
