CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The University of Charleston Football team will hit the road on Saturday to take on the Cardinals of Wheeling University with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The Golden Eagles (3-1, 2-1 MEC), who come off a win against Valparaiso, captured the MEC's first ever football victory over an FCS opponent while Wheeling (0-4, 0-4 MEC) was dealt a 33-19 loss last week on the road at West Virginia Wesleyan.

THE OPPOSITION
In their first year of NCAA competition, Wheeling comes into play searching for their first official win in program history. Coming off a loss last week to West Virginia Wesleyan, Wheeling was held to just 36-yards on the ground while Cardinal Quarterback Tucker Strachan threw for a trio of touchdowns and three interceptions. Rich White III recorded a game-high 10 solo tackles for the Cardinal defense. White currently leads the MEC and ranks second in Division II in solo tackles per game with 8.0.
